Il ristorante La spada, Trattoria nel pieno centro storico di Firenze, a pochi metri da Santa Maria Novella e dal Duomo, offre la tradizione storica della cucina della brace fiorentina nei vostri piatti. Il nostro ristorante serve piatti di carne alla griglia (in particolar modo la fiorentina), ravioli freschi, lasagne al forno e piatti tipici della zona. Il locale è stato rinnovato e ampliato, fornendo inoltre il servizio di piatti d'asporto per gustare le nostre specialità anche a casa. La formula che ha dato successo alla Spada è semplice: un ambiente caratteristico rustico ben curato, prodotti di qualità, una cucina genuina, carni allo spiedo e alla brace cotte alla perfezione e soprattutto, cosa sempre più difficile da trovare a Firenze, un ottimo rapporto qualità prezzo. Il piatto forte è il “Grande arrosto Misto allo spiedo” servito sempre con patate arrosto e la bistecca alla fiorentina cotta alla brace, esclusivamente di quercia e carpini, che danno alla carne un sapore unico. I recently dined at La Spada in Florence, and it was an unforgettable experience, thanks to my cousin’s Stefano stellar recommendation. Tucked away in the heart of the city, this charming restaurant delivered some of the best food I’ve ever tasted, paired with warm, impeccable service.
From the moment we walked in, the staff greeted us with genuine hospitality, making us feel right at home. The ambiance was cozy yet refined, perfectly capturing the essence of Tuscan dining. The menu was a love letter to Florentine cuisine, and every dish we tried was a masterpiece of flavor and tradition. The pasta was perfectly al dente, the meats were cooked to perfection, and the ingredients tasted like they were sourced straight from a Tuscan farm.
The true star of the meal, however, was the chestnut pudding—hands down the best dessert I’ve ever had. Its creamy texture, rich nutty flavor, and subtle sweetness were pure magic, leaving me dreaming about it days later. It’s a must-try for anyone visiting La Spada.
The service was equally exceptional, with attentive yet unintrusive staff who went above and beyond to ensure our evening was perfect. Every recommendation they made was spot-on, and their passion for the food shone through in every interaction.

Il nostro menù Lunch è pensato e modificato tutti i giorni, per venire incontro alla nostra clientela quotidiana, alle diverse esigenze alimentari e alla stagionalità dei prodotti. Ti aspet...tiamo di nuovo per pranzo o, magari, per cena! Il nostro menù bistecca a 33 euro +coperto vi farà provare un antipastino di prelibatezze toscane, la tradizionale bistecca con le nostre patate alla ghiotta ed, infine, un buon dolcino! La mejor comida que he probado, después de 16 años regresamos a este lugar y les puedo decir que conserva sus sabores y calidad. Si van a Florencia es un si necesario ir a La Spada no se van a arrepentir, el pollo rostizado es emblemático. El ambient...e es muy cálido y te sientes en casa. 100% recomendado aparte a un precio muy accesible: 4 personas y una botella de vino pagamos como 93 euros.

El restaurante es muy bueno y que preparan la mejor Bistecca de Florencia, aparte que el servicio es muy bueno, también los postres son muy buenos. Prácticamente es uno de los mejores restaurantes de toda Florencia.

We arrived a bit late, around 11 PM, at La Spada, and the waiter kindly informed us that they only had meat dishes left. I mentioned that I don’t eat meat, and he immediately offered to prepare some ravioli with truffles and parmesan just for me – wh...ich sounded absolutely delicious, so we decided to stay, especially since my boyfriend was in the mood for meat.
He had a 500g beef steak that was incredibly good – truly delicious – served with potatoes and eggplant parmesan, both of which were fantastic. As for my pasta, they were perfect! A rich, flavorful blend of truffle and parmesan that felt like heaven.
The service was 10/10. The gentleman who welcomed us was super friendly, funny, and kind – he really made the difference and made us feel good.
We’ll definitely be back. A well-deserved 10!

Durante la settimana a pranzo c'è il menù a prezzo fisso (che cambia ogni giorno) di due portate a scelta a 18€ (15€ con acqua +3€ coperto) con ampia varietà tra antipasti, primi e secondi con contorno. Si mangia bene, le porzioni sono abbondanti e ...il cibo è gustoso e saporito. Altrimenti hanno anche il menù alla carta. Dolci fatti in casa e buonissimi, in particolare il budino di marroni.
Simpaticissimo e alla mano tutto il personale, in particolare Giuseppe. Se capitate a Firenze, fate una tappa al ristorante la Spada che ne vale assolutamente la pena!!

Tappa fissa quando passiamo per Firenze. Bistecca fiorentina buonissima. Non ricordo il nome della cameriera ma è stata molto gentile e brava nel consigliarci il tipo di bistecca ed anche un buon vino. Buono anche il tiramisù. Prezzo onesto per la... qualità offerta.

Credo che la definizione migliore per questo ristorante sia "Regno della carne". Se siete amanti della carne di ogni tipo, questo è il posto giusto per voi! Io, quando mi trovo a Firenze, vengo spesso a La Spada e non rimango mai delusa. Le specialit...à allo spiedo sono quelle che preferisco. Di solito ordino il pollo perché qui ha veramente una marcia in più. Consiglio questo ristorante a tutti, ma, in particolar modo, ai turisti che vogliono assaporare la vera cucina toscana.
