Best meal we had in Lombardy!

En route from Lugano to Como, we wanted to find a lunch spot away from the crowds. The lunch we enjoyed here exceeded every expectation. It’s the kind of place where the chef/owner sits down with you to explain what he can offer that day, based on what fresh ingredients he has on hand. That meant a carciofi (artichoke) and parmigiano salad that was simple and yummy. Best thing ever. A selection of delicious salumi, a cod and polenta dish that was unique and delicious, and a fantastic pesto of sorts which also included the in season artichokes. Just wow. The atmosphere was charming and super low key, with a stunning view of Lake Lugano and the mountains. There are rooms to rent as well. Next time I might stay longer to enjoy more amazing meals. Wonderful!

An excellent meal

I cannot have gluten or dairy but Piermario went out of his way to adapt things on the menu for me. It was a super meal. Piermario is a very good chef and very welcoming and friendly. The view from the terrace is beautiful. Would highly recommend the drive up there from the lake.

Bellissima esperienza sensoriale e umana.

Bellissima esperienza sensoriale e umana. Locale informale con parcheggio, in un bellissimo luogo. Abbiamo pranzato sul terrazzo vista lago, ombreggiato e fresco. Personale gentilissimo, accogliente e accudiente. Il proprietario-chef ci ha preparato... piatti di pesce squisiti, il miglior carpione che abbia gustato finora. Il menù è ricco, vario e originale. I prezzi adeguati. Il proprietario, Pier Mario, ci hai intrattenuto raccontando i piatti, gli ingredienti, il luogo. Addirittura, si è prodigato per aprirci la chiesa del borgo per una visita e ci ha regalato un barattolo di aceto aromatizzato per cucinare un carpione in casa. Speriamo di tornarci per gustare altro piatti e comunque lo consigliamo. Grazie

Ottimo pranzo con amici

A coronamento di una bella visita a Villa Fogazzaro Roi, abbiamo pranzato in questo ristorante semplice ma accogliente. Nota di merito per l'insalata di carciofi, le lasagne con melanzane e pesto ed il brasato con polenta. Il cuoco e proprietario è u...na persona davvero cordiale.

Cena al Mal'Ombra di Dasio ( Valsoda provincia di Como)

Il posto e' leggermente fuori mano da raggiungere ma ci si arriva facilmente col navigatore perche' ha una visibilita' sul web ai primi posti , l'arredamento e' molto essenziale e poco raffinato, MA IL MANGIARE E' SUPERLATIVO, il cuoco Piermario semp...re gentile e disponibile nei confronti dell'esigenza della clientela offre dei piatti molto ricercati e nostrani, fatti con ingredienti non industriali. senza parlare dei prezzi, che ci si chiede come si fa a mangiare cosi' bene e spendere cosi' poco.
