A perfect hotel, run by the nicest people in a lovely town

Nascar is an absolutely lovely hotel. It's in a 200 year old building that charms from the moment you see it. Reception is by one of three sisters, Stephanie, Laura or Claudia and guests are warmly welcomed. Rooms are charming and feature exposed rock walls yet are also modern and sleek. The hotel is immaculately clean. The bed was wonderfully comfortable and bathroom beautifully tiled in blue. Our room faced the front and had a small Juliet balcony. A thoughtful touch in the rooms is a drying rack for bathing suits. The beach is across the street and hotel guests get beach towels and use of comfortable loungers with sun shades on the beach. The beach and water are wonderful. Breakfast was a generous buffet with fruit, fresh squeezed juice, a variety of breads, rolls and pastries and eggs, vegetables and any kind of coffee desired. We had to leave early on our last day and the staff graciously prepared and opened the buffet early for us. Claudia arranged a boat trip for us - a definite "must do" and definitely have hotel staff book for you. Our tour was great and the lunch on the boat was excellent - quite a surprise to have a three course delicious lunch with wine! There is a great deal to do in the area - whether exploring, hiking to small jewel like beaches with crystal clear water or boating. We stayed for two nights and wished we had more time. Dinner at the restaurant attached to the hotel (but under different management), was so excellent that we had dinner there both nights.

Certainement le meilleur restaurant que nous ayons fait en Sardaigne en trois semaines avec en prime un très bon rapport qualité prix. Les plats sont extrêmement bons, accueil gentil comme partout en Sardaigne, les spécialités sont excellentes, c’est ici que nous les avons le plus appréciées, le vin bien servi et très bon, dîner en terrasse et jardin très agréable

Per sempre nel nostro cuore

Mio marito e io abbiamo soggiornato al Nascar Hotel durante una calda settimana d'agosto. Siamo appena andati via... eppure questo luogo già ci manca, per la sua accoglienza, la bellezza semplice che lo contraddistingue e la ricercatezza in ogni sua... cosa. Il Nascar è posizionato a soli due passi dalla bellissima spiaggia di Santa Maria Navarrese e offre ai propri ospiti la possibilità di usufruire del lido - Nolo L'Ancora - convenzionato con l'albergo. Il Nascar rende inoltre disponibile un servizio di fornitura quotidiana di teli da mare, alleggerendo i bagnanti dalla necessità di attrezzarsi da sé. Proprio intorno all'Hotel sorgono tutta una serie di utilissimi servizi (come ad esempio la farmacia, alcuni saloni di bellezza, un supermercato e negozietti di vario genere), rendendo la permanenza estremamente comoda. Questo albergo ha una vocazione particolare per la tranquillità e per la silenziosità, caratteristica che lo rende sicuramente adatto ai viaggiatori che sono alla ricerca di distensione. Il personale del Nascar è semplicemente squisito... Ci siamo affezionati a queste meravigliose persone. La conduzione femminile di questo boutique hotel si dispiega in un'accoglienza sincera, accorata e attenta. In modo particolare, le care Stefania e Laura si prodigano in tutti i modi per soddisfare le richieste espresse e non espresse dei loro ospiti; sono sempre disponibili a consigliare ampiamente sia in merito alle escursioni (sia guidate che in autonomia) alla scoperta dell'Ogliastra, sia in merito a esigenze più semplici e immediate. Anche il personale addetto alle pulizie è gentile e discreto, inoltre il livello di pulizia delle camere e degli ambienti comuni è ineccepibile. Certamente non può mancare una nota di merito per il personale addetto al servizio della colazione ed anche per il personale addetto al servizio della cena. Tutte le persone che abbiamo conosciuto qui sono umili, preparate e dedite al loro lavoro. A tal proposito, apro una brevissima parentesi riguardo colazioni e cene: le colazioni al buffet sono varie, saporite e genuine, moltissimi prodotti vengono preparati freschi ogni mattina e la scelta è ampia e soddisfacente. Le cene, senza mezzi termini, le abbiamo trovate deliziose. Provate, se potete, il pescato fresco del giorno, nel contesto dell'incantevole giardino. In conclusione, c'è solo una cosa che posso dire del mio soggiorno qui... È un peccato che sia finito, non vedo l'ora di tornare.

Excellent

This family run hotel was a real find and we loved it so much that we extended our stay for an extra night. From the moment we arrived Claudia, sister Stefania and cousin Laura could not do enough for us. We ate in the restaurant which served great ...food and the service was good too. The choice of freshly cooked food at breakfast along with all the other options was extensive and delicious. Thank you for a wonderful stay and we hope to return one day.

Boutique hotel with great rooms and super hospitality

The hotel is a small boutique with 10+ rooms, family owned, family managed with a great staff. It is close to the beach with free access to a private part of the beach. Well organized and really a great place to stay. We booked a junior suite which w...as perfect, well kept and decorated. The management offered a transfer to the boat rental with her car, an unexpected but highly appreciated hospitality. She also booked us the best rib in town. The quality of the breakfast service and the best scrambled eggs and crispy bacon ever, cannot go without mention. Really a lovely place to stay and enjoy the middle of the east coast.

A nice friendly place with very good food

With no booking, we were first in for dinner here, having noticed its nice vibe when walking by the night before. Service was friendly and efficient, food delicious. sardine and cuttlefish starter with pea sauce were delicious, then fresh fish tha...t we had selected at the table, was filleted and served there too. Excellent value and a nice overall experience

Migliorabili i bagni e camere

Hotel centralissimo a Santa Maria Navarrese con spiaggia inclusa. Personale gentilissimo. A mio parere non paragonabile a un 4 stelle perche’i bagni sono datati (doccino scarso e miscelatore pocofunzionante) e anche nelle camere troppi mobili e mobi...letti tolgono spazio e generano confusione nell’arredo. Il personale fa la differenza con la disponibilita’e la gentilezza. F.R.

Tolles historisches Stadthotel mit ausgezeichnetem Service

Ein sehr schönes und behutsam renoviertes Stadthaus. Die Zimmer sind sehr klein - aber liebevoll ausgebaut (Bad) und eingerichtet. Das Frühstück war super - und das Personal der Hammer: Super freundlich und alle Wünsche nach Kaffee und Eierspeisen ...wurden mit viel Liebe erfüllt. Toll fanden wir den Strandservice: eigene Handtücher liegen bereit und am organisierten Strand sind Schirme und Liegen für Hotelgäste reserviert (leider ist der Strand selbst nicht so attraktiv - da gibt es in den Buchten der Umgebung viiiieeeel schönere...). Aber für eine Abkühlung oder eine Ruhepause fanden wir das Angebot wirklich gut. Auch das Restaurant bietet gute Qualität, gute (aber recht teure) Weine und das Personal ist ebenfalls sehr hilfsbereit. Das Restaurant gehört aber nicht zum Hotel - es muss separat bezahlt werden. Noch eine Empfehlung: an der Rezeption nach den Bootstouren entlang der Küste fragen. Uns wurde eine wirklich schöne kleine Yacht mit 12 Gästen empfohlen - und auch wenn wir überhaupt keine Freunde organisierter Touren sind: das darf man nicht verpassen! Tolle Fahrt, tolle Buchten und Strände. Es war ein außerordentlich schöner Tag! An einem Tag - dem letzten italienischen Ferientag - war auf der "Festwiese" gegenüber eine Megaparty... Bis 4 Uhr früh... Dafür kann das Hotel aber nichts. Es kann halt nur sein, dass es auf diesem Gelände öfter mal solche Veranstaltungen gibt...
